The House
Alligator House is a four-bedroom family home within two minutes’ walk of the world-renowned Harbour Island pink sands beach. The house is in the exclusive Narrows end of the island, within easy walking distance or a five-minute golf-cart ride from the shops and restaurants of historic Dunmore Town.
The Beach
There is a bungalow between the house and the beach, mostly hidden from Alligator by the tropical vegetation (see photos of the view). The beach path is semi-private, shared with the surrounding houses. N.B., you cannot supervise kids on the beach from the house.

Master Bedroom Suite (65m2 / 700ft2), with US King Size Hästens Bed (78”Wide x 80”Long / 197cm Wide x 203cm Long), Sofa, Large Desk, large en-suite shower-room with double sink, air-conditioning, Balcony with sofa and chairs.
This suite has its own entrance and is not connected to other rooms, but has a connecting (very thick) door to the staircase to the Upper Bedroom.
Main Guest Suite (50m2 / 540ft2), with almost US King (75”’Wide x 77”Long / 192cm Wide x 197cm Long), Sofa, Large Desk, Balcony with sofa and chairs, large en-suite shower-room with double sink, air-conditioning.
This suite has its own entrance and is not connected to other rooms.
Guest Bedroom Suite (40m2 / 430ft2) (below study), with US Full/Double (54”Wide x 74”Long / 137cm Wide x 189cm Long), Sofa, Desk, Patio with sun loungers, en-suite shower-room with double sink, air-conditioning.
This suite has its own entrance and is not connected to other rooms.
Upstairs Guest Bedroom (30m2 / 320ft2), with US Queen Size Bed (60”Wide x 80”Long / 153cm Wide x 203cm Long), Desk, Balcony with fantastic view of the beach, en-suite shower-room with single sink, air-conditioning. This room has a connecting door at the bottom of the stairs to the Master Bedroom, making it ideal for younger children - when the (security grade, i.e. very thick) door is closed, the rooms are very private and separate - but if you want to hear what is happening in the kids’ room, leaving the door open provides a discrete connection.
Main room (75m2 / 800ft2), with sofas, indoor and outdoor dining area, kitchen area.
Kitchen area with fridge, microwave, electric oven and stovetop, dishwasher, blender, nespresso machine. N.B., this is a 10-year old island kitchen, not a chef’s kitchen!
Study / Tv room (40m2 /430ft2)with large desk, sofa, 4K TV, en-suite shower room, fantastic view.
This room has its own entrance and is not connected to other rooms.
Low-chlorine pool - kind on the eyes and skin -filled with reverse osmosis mineralized water (4m x 10m / 14ft x 34ft). Can be heated in winter to a maximum of 84F / 29C, similar to 5 star hotel standard (but not a bathtub…). Sunshades can be put up in the summer.
Daily beach set-up.
RO (reverse osmosis) system (our own well and plant that purifies with ultra-violet light and remineralises), ensuring a clean and uninterrupted water supply with a large water storage tank. We use it to drink from the tap, shower, and swim in!
Automatic generator (new in 2021), ensuring the lights (and AC) stay on.
There is also a whole-house voltage regulator, but we still recommend using voltage protectors for your sensitive equipment (please ask the Housekeeper if you forgot to bring your own, we usually have some spare ones).
Whole-house hi-speed Wifi. The standard is fiber-optic, which provides around 120gb download, however, due to island power outages, the internet is not 100% reliable.
Sonos sound system in the Main Room.
Air conditioning in all rooms. Please remember that electricity on the island is diesel generated and expensive, so please use responsibly and be as green as possible (e.g. don’t leave the doors open with the air conditioning on and usually it’s not necessary to have on all the time.)
Security: all windows are hurricane grade, all doors security grade with security locks and there are cctv cameras on the perimeter (should you want these shut-off, just let us know).

Weekly laundry and cleaning and after every stay.

Plants won’t always be as in the photos, as they grow, leaves get blown-away by storms, and everything has a season.
Regular service under weekly & monthly maintenance agreements for the pool, AC, RO, & generator (with emergency call-outs).
There are no chefs on staff; here is a selection of local chefs recommended by some of our guests. Please feel free to contact them directly:
There are two outdoor BBQs (a Kamado Joe Classic III, which is not simple to use, so be sure to watch YouTube videos on how to make the most of it!) and a gas-fired one.
If you let us know in advance, we’ll make sure the charcoal is stocked (we don’t keep much, due to the humidity).
